novelty, invention & innovation
An invention is a new configuration, device, or process. Some inventions are based on pre-existing models or ideas and others are radical breakthroughs. Inventions can extend the boundaries of human knowledge or experience.
Atomic Bomb Explosion
An innovation is a new way of doing something. It may refer to incremental and emergent or radical
and revolutionary changes in thinking, products, processes, or organizations. Following Schumpeter (1934), contributors to the scholarly literature on innovation typically distinguish between invention, an idea made manifest, and innovation, ideas applied successfully in practice. In many fields, something new must be substantially different to be innovative, not an insignificant change, e.g., in the arts, economics, business and government policy. In economics the change must increase value, customer value, or producer value. The goal of innovation is positive change, to make someone or something better. Innovation leading to increased productivity is the fundamental source of increasing wealth in an economy.

10 CREATIVE MYTHS
Over the years, I have heard a lot of people say a lot of daft things about creativity. Some of those things, I hear again and again. What's worse, a lot these daft notions – or myths – about creativity are detrimental to the creative process. So, let's end this once and for all. Below are 10 creative myths. If you share these with everyone in the world, these myths will go away.
1. “I am not creative”
2. “That's a stupid [or daft, or silly, or ridiculous] idea”
3. “Creative people always have great ideas”
4. “Constructive criticism will help my colleague improve her idea.”
5. “We need some new marketing ideas for the upcoming product launch. Let's get the marketing people together and brainstorm ideas.”
6. “In order for our innovation strategy to be a success, we need a system of review processes for screening ideas and determining which ideas to implement.”
7. “That's a good idea. Let's run with it”
8. “Drugs will help me be more creative”
9. “If it ain't broke, don't fix it.”
10. “I don't need a notebook. I always remember my ideas”

what is creativity?
Today, we studied creative studies. but Mr. Radzi didn't want to tell us what creativity is. So, I searched it and compared the results that i got. I thought I got one that's the best. I found it here. let's check it out.
From a scientific point of view, the products of creative thought (sometimes referred to as divergent thought) are usually considered to have both originality and appropriateness.
Although intuitively a simple phenomenon, it is in fact quite complex. It has been studied from the perspectives of behavioral psychology, social psychology, psychometrics, cognitive science, artificial intelligent, philosophy, aesthetics, history, economics, design research, business, and management, among others. The studies have covered everyday creativity, exceptional creativity and even artificial creativity. Unlike many phenomena in science, there is no single, authoritative perspective or definition of creativity. And unlike many phenomena in psychology, there is no standardized measurement technique.
Creativity has been attributed variously to divine intervention, cognitive processes, the social environment, personality traits, and chance ("accident","serendipity"). It has been associated with genius, mental illness, humor and REM sleep. Some say it is a trait we are born with; others say it can be taught with the application of simple techniques. Creativity has also been viewed as a beneficence of a muse or Muses.
Although popularly associated with art and literature, it is also an essential part of innovation and invention and is important in professions such as business, economics, architecture, industrial design, graphic design, advertising, mathematics, music, science and engineering, and teaching.
Despite, or perhaps because of, the ambiguity and multi-dimensional nature of creativity, entire industries have been spawned from the pursuit of creative ideas and the development of creativity techniques
has been associated with right or forehead brain activity or even specifically with lateral thinking.
Some students of creativity have emphasized an element of chance in the creative process. Linus Pauling, asked at a public lecture how one creates scientific theories, replied that one must endeavor to come up with many ideas — then discard the useless ones.
